New Water- Savage River, North Branch of the Potomac

Sunday June 28th, 2009.
Left at 4:30am with Kevin and Don to head south to Maryland. about 30 mins past Deep Creek where Uncle Tom used to have a place. Packed up the night before and knew I was in for some lessons.

Sorry guys, you can't come...

Neither can you...Bright and Early on the Savage River
Might as well get in there and start swingin'

The 7x Stretch... Very few big holes, mostly pocket water. Not really my cup o' tea.

Fishing was hard, needed to sit and take pics once in a while

River Runs Through It- 2009

Fished from 730-130 had some lunch and a beer, packed the rods and headed to the next spot.

Off to the West Virginia/Maryland Boarder.

Barnum, MD, population 13.

John Denver's sort of place.

Decorations

North Branch of the Potomac River
Wild Rainbow on a white bugger in a deep fast stretch.

Back to the Savage River hoping to see an evening hatch
Not many fish rising, and when they did it was in NO particular pattern.

Heavy Midge hatch, few mayflies.

Sunset over the Savage River

Headed home late, fell asleep for a bit on the way home. Got back to Alabama Ave. at midnight.

13 hours of fishing. 1 fish. Tons of experience, definately want to get back soon.
